A scholarship for intensive source research in the scientific collections of the Marburg Herder Institute for Historical Research on Eastern Central Europe, an institute of the Leibniz Association.
The Herder Fellowship "Format I" is one of two fellowship programs offered by the Herder Institute and is specifically designed for doctoral and postdoctoral students. It enables a short-term, intensive research visit (up to one month) in the scientific collections (1,400 € for one month). Fellows also have the opportunity to present their project proposals at one of the sessions of the Herder Institute Research Academy. In order to adapt the fellowship to your needs, the duration of the fellowship will depend on the scope of the scientific project. The planned duration should be stated in the application.
