Vincent Hoyer (M.A.) is a research associate at the Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO) in Leipzig. He coordinates the project “Ethnizität verkaufen. Bildmedienproduzenten im östlichen Europa um 1900 zwischen Nationalismus und Ökonomie” (Selling Ethnicity. Visual Media Producers in Eastern Europe around 1900 between Nationalism and Economy), which is funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM). In 2021, he completed his history studies at the University of Augsburg with study visits to Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and Emory University in Atlanta. His Master's thesis on entertainment culture and nationalism in Poznan around 1900 was awarded the Scientific Prize of the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland. He is currently working on a comparative doctoral project in this subject area.
