Dr. Sven Jaros did his doctorate in Leipzig on the medieval history of Eastern Europe. After a period at the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies in Regensburg, he is now a research associate at the Chair of East European History at Martin Luther University and the Aleksander Brückner Centre for Polish Studies in Halle, respectively, with a project on knowledge and emigration in the transnational network during the 19th and early 20th centuries.
