Magdalena Waligórska

PD Dr. Magdalena Waligórska is a cultural historian. She currently leads a research group at the Department of European Ethnology at the Humboldt University of Berlin, devoted to the history of East-European shtetls. She is the author of Klezmer’s Afterlife: An Ethnography of the Jewish Music Revival in Poland and Germany (OUP, 2013) and Cross Purposes: Catholicism and the Political Imagination in Poland (CUP, 2023).
