The historian of Southeastern Europe Adamantios Skordos is a research fellow (since 2016) and co-head of the directorate "Transfer and Publishing" (since 2023) at the Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO). He has been teaching as a Privatdozent in European Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Philosophy at the University of Leipzig since 2018. His research interests include South and Southeast European history of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries in its global contexts, history of international law, conflict studies, forced migration, culture of memory, politics of history and transitional justice, comparative populism studies.
